here's my new suhr in action last friday...did great!...i swapped out the humbucker that it came with...a little too weak for my tastes...and put in my favorite pickup, a duncan distortion...now it friggin SCREAMS!

Have any of u heard of this brand of guitars and how GOOd are they. My buddy is in London, and was thinking of pickking one up.

Hey everyone, a few months ago I replaced the stock 500T in the bridge of my les paul classic with a FRED. I initaly liked the sound, It was very clear and not harsh so initaly I liked it more then The 500T. Now it just sounds small and doesent quite live up to other les Pauls. I Realy kinda want my bridge to have a nice bold bottom end, like Les Paul Standards. I was looking into the 59, but I hear complaints of thiness/treblyness. I realy want a big, full, well balanced sound, which i heard the custom does pretty well. Bold Bottom, Thick Mids, and an articulated yet smooth top end.

Im kinda confused about this whole Rw/Rp. My guitar is going to be S/S/H. So when i order my pups do i have to order the middle pup Rw/Rp so i wont get any hum noise. Someone please explain this to me.

just got a 2-channel dual recto for $1225. it's got he chrome chassis, sweet condition, and it's got groove tubes EL34's in it (you guys know me and my EL34's in my recto).

Hello, I'm new the forum. I have an SSL-3 pickup that i want to install. Is there any particular direction you mount these? Since these are the single coils that don't have the tab, it's not exactly clear which way it goes. It is a 2 wire pickup with the black and white wire on opposite ends.

Is there any problem with rusting the tips of the pole pieces of my single coil strat pups (ssl-1 seymour duncans)

Ok, here's the deal, I can either get a Marshall JMP-1 Preamp and a Mesa Boogie 20/20 poweramp, or a DSL/TSL 50/60W head for about the same price, about $900-1000 used. Which would you chose? I need a new amp for my new band and we play some kind of metal, so I need some quality distortion and also useful cleans though they're not the most important thing to worry about.

What type of humbucker do you think would sound best in the bridge of my HSS mexi strat? I'm going to be using the bridge for exclusively slide playing, Duane being my favorite slide player. I want thick and screamy.

I know this idea has been done to death, but isn't everyone jonesing for a higher-output-vintage pickup like me?

hey guys, to get as close to slash on strat in the neck position. some ppl say cool rails, and others say Alnico II pros if ur willing to bore out. What do u guys think is better.

which one has more high end APH1 or PG??

Hey guys.. I've got a almost like new RG 550 with a maple neck and edge bridge made in 98 that I'm sticking a Duncan Distortion F spaced in.. Ok, I typically dont' use the middle pickup, but I thought maybe it would be good to use for clean passages and clean arppegio's, etc.. But I want something that's loud enough and will be good when split in the second positioin? I also want someting single coil, yet quiet? Is there such a duncan?
