Hey guys. I was recently given a used Dimebucker by a friend, he had no use for it anymore. I wanted to hear some peoples opinions on it. Is the pickup versatile? Or only good for heavy music styles? I've heard it is a very bright pickup. Would it pair well in a mahogany Ibanez RG? Thanks in advance.

I need help. My hotrails pup sounds exactly like the stock pup i had before. The only difference is that the hammer-on/ pull-off is slightly better. I have this pup on a Squire Strat Affinity Series on the bridge. i also have the stock pups on the neck and middle. Someone please HELP!

Hi all, i have a Black Ltd SC 500 guitar for sale. It is Stephen Carpenters sig guiatr from the deftones, this model is not available anymore except on ESP custom shop order. I bought it about 2-3 years ago. It has H-H-S pup config and ive upgraded them as follows. B= SH6 Distortion M = Bill Lawrence XL500L N= stock duncan designed single coil.

I like the tones on this amp for clean, blues and classic rock, but i also play metal. Could i get an overdrive/distortion pedal with it so i could play metal? If this would make me able to play metal with a classic 30 than what pedal do you suggest, and if i shouldnt get a classic 30 for heavier stuff what tube amp is good thats under 600$? thanks in advance

I want to set up my Schecter with 2 humbuckers, 1 volume, 1 tone and a 3 way switch. I'd like to put a push/pull on the tone control for a coil tap to split each humbucker to single coil. I'm a little confused on which schematic to follow in the wiring diagram setup. Can anyone advise. Thanks.

I'm looking for something different to throw in a new project and it's basically down to a Filter'tron clone or a Phat Cat. I know what a P90 sounds like, so that side of the equation is known. But I don't really know what to expect from a Filter-tron style pup. I did a search here and found a little info, including one person claiming that Filter'tron pups are wired in Parallel normally. Is that true? If I choose to go that route, I was planning to include parallel wiring as a switchable option, but I was surprised to read that such a setting might be the default.

Does anyone know what distortion pedal the guitarists from Iron Maiden use as a boost for solos? I've heard that in the early 80s, Dave used a MXR Distortion and Adrian used a TS-9 Tubescreamer? Can anyone confirm this?

alright, i want to do some really basic simple recording onto my computer. is it possible to send the output from my Boss GT-3 to that little microphone input on the back of my computer? (using a little connector to change 1/4quot; to mini of course)? any other suggestions? i want to keep it really simple.

Ok, so I was playing my tele at a gig, and it accidentally got splashed with a decent amount of water. initially, I just wiped it and played on, but after a few minutes, I suddenly lost all my high end. Unfortunately, this was the one occasion I have decided to travel light and only take one guitar to a gig, so I had to struggle through by diming the treble and upping the volume on the amp.

I've got 3 Duncans to trade.

Where's a good place to buy nickel or silver pick up covers? I want to replace the neck pup in my guitar with an AII pro, but don't really want to special order and AII pro with a nickel cover. Will it fit exactly, and is there anything special I'd have to do to put it on? (I'd assume a little solder to make sure it stays on P)

Head is in good condition, a few knicks here and there. Sounds fantastic, but a bit too much power for my needs.

Can anyone point me into the direction of how to build a valve/tube amp?? A decent schmatic/how to?? I have had experince with electronics, welding,a nd soildering before, but a good friend of mine, is an engineer, who fixed helicopters for aliving, and will help me out if i get stuck. I just need schimatics/instructions!!
