I have a warmoth body amp; neck- mohagony body, flame maple top, strat shape, maple neck, rosewood board. It has spaces for a hum single single,. Right now all it has is an EVH in the bridge, and only a 250k volume, no tone. I got tired of trying to match pups, so I went with the one pup and vol. BTW, the 250k pot really helped the tone of this pick-up, and it totally rocks. Now I think I might try to get a neck pup. I want to get your regular strat neck tones, though I don't know if that will be possible with this body. I have a strat at home with a hotrails bridge, cool rails neck, and a quarter pounder mid (RWP), so I can pilpher those, or the store I work at has a vintage, and an alnico pro II. I don't care about hum cancling, but I do want to know what to do about keeping the volume between the two pups somewhat consistant,or at least not a dramatic difference. Any ideas? Y'all are always such a great help. Thanks.

Possibly looking for a new pup and need some advice . . .
Hey all. I've currently got in my Les Paul Studio a CustomCustom in the bridge and a '59 in neck. I think I want to replace both. The 59 is a pretty rockin' pickup, but I think I need something with less bass. As for the CC, I really dig the smooth top end, but its just all mids. Its narrow. Not to be confused with thin . . . its a thick pickup but its too focused in such a narrow area that it just doesn't sound BIG!! if that makes sense. I have no idea where to look for the bridge, any suggestions? For the neck, I was thinking either PG or A2P. On a slightly side note, I recently had a chance to play a really nice Tele, and while it was a little too bright for my tastes, holy crap did that thing have TONE!! So, I guess I'm kind of looking for a pup that might be less output but more toneful for both neck and bridge positions.

Marshall JCM900 MkIII Info
For those who have asked me or ever wondered about the MkIII Master Volumes, I have lots of info on my web site about them. There will be more info to come I'm sure but as it stands right now, it should answer a lot of questions.

Fokus Guitars
Anyone heard of them? They are from the Czech republic, I think. They look good and the prices are way low as well. Dont know how they sound, though.
I dont know what hardware or pickups this one got, but it is made of maple, mahogany and walnut.

Hot rails for strat
Help! I put a hot rail in the bridge position of my California strat (the other two pups are Tex Mex) and now I can't adjust my tone in the bridge position. I already replaced the tone pot but still nothing. In all other pickup positions both tone pots work fine. When I go all the way down to the bridge though I turn the pot and its just one tone. Anybody know what the hells going on?

WTT SD Tweak Fuzz for Overdrive
Hey dudes. I'm looking for a really nice overdrive. I'm using a bad monkey right now and I like the tone a lot but it isn't true bypass and that bothers me a little. The Tweak Fuzz is amazing but I would use a nice overdrive more than a fuzz. My TF is in almost perfect condition with very little playing time and has the original box. Companies that I'm interested in are Carl Martin, Hao, Barber, Fulltone, stuff like that. I'd be willing to do the TF Cash, so let me know what you have to offer.

Ok!!! my review on the Patb-3 pup!!!
alright, got my duncan patb-3 blues saraceno pickup about a week and a half ago.put it in my basswood ibanez rg565 in the bridge slot.the guitar has an all maple neck/fretboard.after lots of time to thoroughly play this pup,i can finally give my review on it...in a word-quot;awesomequot;.this IS the perfect pup that fits in between the '59b amp; the C5 pickups.i've tried both of those and liked 'em both.the 59b was great, but i wanted just a little more mids and slightly hotter wind.the Custom 5 was an excellent pup, also, but it was just a little too boomy.very similiar to the '59b,but too BIG of a jump on the low end(meaning bass!).plus with a rating of about 15k,it's entered the quot;compressionquot; zone a bit and loses that open paf vibe somewhat.still a great pickup, but not quite what i am looking for.back to the patb-3.my pup measured at 9.2k.it's got the same open paf tone amp; excellent clarity as the '59b.as far as the e.q.,if the 59b has: bass=5/mids=3/treble=9 ,then the patb-3 has: bass=6/mids=4/treble=8 .that's the way it seems to me.it has plenty of bass(without being boomy),good mids(killer grind due to low mids),definately NO sharp upper mid spike(like the jb),and nice singing, rounded highs.also, being slightly overwound, this pickup has a really good crunch under high gain and through-the-roof harmonics, both, similiar to the screamin' demon.this pup squeels with ease like a little piggy and grinds like a steel mill.does anything from blues to metal,no problem.really a great pup for a floyd-rose equipped guitar that is on the brighter, thin sounding side!!! this one is a quot;keeperquot;. if anyone has ANY questions-feel free to ask!!!

Boogie's wattage ratings?
I know that Marshall's wattage ratings are rather conservative... for example a 50W JCM800 head has shown that it will actually pump out around 80-90 watts when throttled full out. The 50W mark is only the onset of power tube distortion.

pots knob height??
I'm hot- rodding a 97 strat and I changed the electronics in it. I put all new pots in there (all 250K) that aren't Fender brand, but they are made in USA. I got Fender brand quot;aged whitequot; volume and tone knobs to go on them. After I installed the pots on the pickguard, and installed the knobs on the shafts I noticed that the knob skirts are kinda high off the pickguard. Shouldn't the skirts be very close to touching the pickguard???
Did I install the pots wrong? They have split shafts, and they came with 3 things- a washer with quot;teethquot; on it, a flat washer, and a nut. I installed them with the quot;toothedquot; washer on the shielded side and the flat washer and nut on the top side.
