I hooked everything up last night following this schematic:

When I plug in, I get nothing. I think I may know the problem now and will try it out this evening after work. The threeway switch is not supposed to be grounded but I didn't cut away the copper foil shielding from the hole for the three way switch. Correct me if I am wrong but, that is closing the circuit before anything gets to the pickups. Correct?
Also, the Phat Cat has braided wire. I assume that is the ground and not just a shield. I soldered a short length of wire to it and ran it to my ground point.
THe four conductor cable has a fifth wire (to ground the shielding?) should that be connected to a ground point?
Thisw is my first foray into electronics so my grasp is not strong.

correct.
I figured it out. The signal part of the jack was touching the edge of the copper foil shielding. The electrons were not getting past the jack!
Sounds great. I love the P90 sound!

No sound. Ground? Braided Cable?
