Double and Multiple Lookup Using the MATCH Function
The ??amp;??symbol can be used to induce double and multiple lookup within the
MATCH function. The method to do this is shown below.
Given that:
The first look-up range is A1:A10
The second look-up range is B1:B10
The value to be returned is in the range C1:C10
The first value to look-up is in cell D1
The second value to look-up is in cell E1
Enter the following as an array formula (Ctrl Shift Enter):
=INDEX(C1:C10,MATCH(D1amp;E1,A1:A10amp;B1:B10,0))
If properly entered, it will display as:
{=INDEX(C1:C10,MATCH(D1amp;E1,A1:A10amp;B1:B10,0))}
