STRATDELUXER97'S Modified DS-1 is here!!!
...and it's kickin' major butt!!! I've sent John aka STRATDELUXER97 my stock Boss DS-1 Distortion pedal for the mods as fellow members have been talking about the mods that he does to these pedals and turning them into TONE MONSTERS. Well, i found out first hand about the TONE and all i can say is, holy smokes!!! The modded DS-1 is absolutely happening!! The improvement in TONE and response is absolutely amazing. It sounds more like a quot;REALquot; Tube Amp and not like an effect pedal now with John's mods. The Tube-like response and characteristics are awesome. It responds to the dynamics of your playing, and it feels ''ALIVE''! I took my old Japanese Boss DS-1 out of my pedalboard and replaced it with John's quot;Mods For Tonequot; DS-1 and it will be staying there. I can't stop playing this thing eversince i got it this morning!!! John also installed a bigger LED that lights up in YELLOW!!! Overall, John's DS-1 mods has more gain, clarity, individual note response, transparency, dynamics, smoother and just tons great great TONE. John, thank you again Brother! This has given me a lot of inspiration to play again. My hats off to you
To those of you fellow forum members out there with stock DS-1's, send it to John for the mods. You'll be glad you did.

Trading DD Cream for a Custom 5
I'd like to trade my cream DD for a Custom 5. Ideally I'm looking for a nickel covered C5 and I'd through in the money difference as I know they're a bit more expensive. But cream or black would do as well. Guess I'd be willing to buy a C5 too, but then I'd still have to sell my DD! Thanks.

Will new Pups help me?
Hey folks. I have a Guild StarFire IV with the original guild pick-ups. I'm looking to give it a little more 'fire' and take away some of its jazzy side (I don't want it totally removed but definitely subdued). Are there any pick-ups you can recommend that I could drop into this puppy to give a little more of an edge?

EMG's with Line 6.....
I've got a Flextone II 212nd I'm thinking of buying a guitar with an 81 in the bridge. I've heard from some people that the combo of emg and line 6 will sound awful. others say they think it'd sound fine. well, i have nowhere near me to try them out, so i'm asking you guys. my amp is very bassy (thumps, in a bad way), but from wha ive heard the 81 isnt very bassy anyways. my amp isn't too noise, feedback wise. it does tend to sound thin at times so that could be a concern. i'm not sure why it would sound bad, but u've heard something about active pickups not sounding good on line 6 gear. the guitar it would be in would most likely be an LP (or possibly an sg). would the 81 sound good, or should i stick to duncans?

both series amp; parallel pup vol control
Ok, don't laugh at me now, I know pretty much nothing about electronics, but I was thinking about a way to mix the middle pup of my strat with the bridge amp; neck - not unlike the S-tastic mod.

Pickups for a Les Paul
I aint realy a lp kind of player but ive recently got a hudge GAS build up for one for some reason after trying and mesing arround with tons of them i stunbled on a awsome piece of guitar! It sounded great and much better compared to the others for some reason tho the pups are burstbuckers (most of lp where, exept for the studios) and im not to fond of them, im sure a touch of sd could fix that.. so im just wondering but what pickups would give a good vintage quot;Pagequot; type sound to a les paul?

P90 Mods
Has anybody tried or heard of taking 2 P90s and wiring them together out of phase (ala a HB)? Obviously it will probably need some body work to accomodate 2 P90s in one pup cavity, so I am thinking of doing this in a clone - either LP or SG type body.

Metal pickups for a Fender Stratocaster S/S/S

Question about my Mesa
I've got a Road King combo, it doesn't have a quot;recording outquot; or anything, is there anyway to send an output into an external device (say, a dirct box then my computer ) but be basically silent? I'm looking for a way to play along with drum tracks, record, etc. late at night with headphones on.

I need some help..
Has anyone here made hybrid pickups? like taking a coil from one humbucker and another coil from a different pickups like the 59/custom hybrid? If so how do you take apart a pickup safely and then connect 2 different coils to each other?

Is the THD Univalve as versatile as it appears?
Really been thinking about a new amp. Although I don't want a head/cab setup, I really am hot after the Univalve. The design is innovative and the soundclips are fun, but can this be the one amp that has everything you need?
