I just got a like new '99 Les Paul standard in ebony (pics below) and i can't decide b/t putting a set of zebra duncans in it or a set of chrome duncans. so, what do you guys think?

NOTE: i forgot to add double cream to the poll so if you rather that please just respond with that and don't vote.

Zebras, amber top hats w/ pointer thingys, nickel hardware.

Or

Zebras, black top hats w/ pointer thingys and gold hardware.

forgot to say, the hardware is staying chrome, the rings and guard are staying cream and the gold speed knobs are staying (i hate top hats...sorry). if anything black speed knobs will go on but i'm liking the gold ones so far in the pics. the guitar is still in the mail to me so i have time to decide and see it in person.

Zebras, but only if you take off the pickguard.

i'm pretty much 98% sold on going zebra but i just wanted some input from others. feel free to keep voting and letting me know what you guys think.

I'd replace the knobs with ebony ones. I voted chrome because I don't like the look of plastic bobbins.

The zebras look good with the pickgaurd... check out my LP (nevermind its siblings)

Man, that's a beauty. I'd keep the chrome. As much as I like zebras, I think the chrome is perfect for it.

with out a doubt. Mike, how abt one chrome one zebra? that'll look cool too. I'm running on double zebras now but if i do change pup it'll prolly end up one covered one zebra.

pac: i was actually thinking of going with a chrome in the neck and zebra bridge. i like that mismatched look ala jimmy page. so, i may try that also.

Leave as is or creams, but lose the pickguard faster than you can say Jack Robinson.
