I don't know jack about mic's and my son wants to know if a vocal mike will work through a 15 watt solid state guitar amp for garage band use.

i was at a function where the MC actually did that. it sounded quite bad, cos i think the gain was on and he dint really EQed it properly.

i tried that at home just for fun out of curiosity too hahah, its ok. you can hear the words and stuff.

Works okay, not great. You probably need to have a 1/4quot; plug on your mic cord, or an adapter that converts the XLR to 1/4quot; plug.
