I´ve been thinking of putting a HB in the bridge of my forthcoming custom telecaster. So far I´ve thought the custom custom would be a good choice, as I want the bridge to be fairly hot without being over-the-top, and I don´t want it to be too bright either, as the alder body/maple neck is gonna be quite bright already.

Twangy pup question
I posted this in the guitar forum by mistake earlier, but I am looking to get a bridge pup for my Tele that is ULTRA twangy. I want that really cornball, quacky country spank sound. What is the best pup out there that you guys have heard? It doesn't have to be a SD, but if it is a SD that's a plus.

Vox Valvetronix 120 Watt Head A Keeper!
I Like the tones I've been hearing out of this head already after dialing some cool ones up with my great ears! It's very easy to dial up the tones quickly..I get the amp style dialed in and then the tone controls and the gain...After that,I decide on what effect(s)if any that I need and then dial the effects up...If the effects color the original tones,I then just readjust my tone controls until I have it dialed in,press quot;writequot; twice and the new preset I made is saved to a bank and set number preset position..The amp is very easy to learn on and it has great tone...Great bang for the money I think..The Vox tones are very cool and very usable and I haven't even tryed alot of the other amp models yet...Looking forward to it though!

Pickups for Dean Hardtail Select
A few months ago I bought a Dean Hardtail Select on the basis of accoustic sound and feel. The pickups are decent but all along I was planning to switch them for some new ones. I have never put new pickups into a guitar. I play mostly jazz fusion, rock fusion, funk and jazz. Im really into the sounds and styles of Scott Henderson, Frank Gambale, Mike Stern and John Scofield. I was recommended getting a jazz in the neck and a JB in the bridge. Does anyone have any suggestion for pickup combos for this guitar?
Cheers

Mesa Boogie Quad Arrived
Well it actually arrived yesterday, but I was gone from 8am to 10pm, so I didn't get to fire it up. It looks pretty good, the only things that need attention right away are the two missing EQ tops/things and a broken fuse I'm just gonna snag the fuse from my STudio preamp to test the Quad though I'll pickup some more fuses from the shack this afternoon. I also gotta find some rack ears for this sucker, but that's not gonna be a big rush since I don't have an actual rack to put it in just yet.

Converting MusicMan to Marshall....Possible?
My MM212HD died just before I re-deployed back to Iraq. After a conversation with Scott F about converting the amp rather than getting a cap job, I got to thinking about the idea. We have a guy working over here what is an electronics guru. I downloaded the schematics for my MM and a Marshall and after looking at them he stated that it would be easy. Anyone every tried this? Any thoughts?
Thanks

What is an envelope filter??
I've been reading about the Boss FT-2 Dynamic Filter pedal. Is this thing like the Dunlop Q Zone, which gives you the stationary wah thing for leads and such? Are there any websites that describe what different effects pedals do? Thanks to anyone who can help.

dimebucker blades
The specs page says the dime uses stainless steel blades. But stainless is non-magnetic from what I understand. How is the mags field transferred to the strings?

Help! Pieces of home studio needed...(pickups )
Hello All!
I thought I might get some good advice here on enhancing my home studio. I'm currently running an '89 PRS CE-7 through a Pod 2.0, Mackie 1202 mixer, and into my Tascam 224 recording module (using Cakewalk Sonar on a good PC).

FT/FS: Crybaby 535Q Wah
I'm looking to sell or trade my Dunlop Crybaby 535Q. It is in great condition and is under a year old. I would prefer to trade it straight up for a Morley Mark Tremonti Power Wah, however I will entertain offers to buy the pedal outright.
Pics can be available upon request.
