Epi Lp.
I was thinking a jazz n, but how I like the '59. I'm not dead set on the '59, as I have one in another guitar.
I'm open to all suggestions. I just want to be sure because I am ordering this set this weekend.(from Blackrose Customs)
I really don't do much of both p'ups at once, so an aph-1 wouldn't be out of the question. Hmmmmmmmm.
For heavy rock to blues.
C'mon people, I have only two days before this money burns a hole in my pocket.
Thanks
59N is traditionally paired with the custom
beyond that there's really no advice i could give you
go with your insticts
I like both the jazz and the a2pro with the Custom. The a2pro has a little more bass but it also seems more complex/sensitive.
I've never played the A2P but the Jazz is a great pup for my music. To my ears, it's one of the more quot;single coilquot; sounding buckers i've played in that it is brighter and snappier than a 59, for example. I play heavy rock and blues and it works well for me.
Epi LP? For heavy rock and blues?

I like the Jazzn over the '59n with both the C5 and Custom. Although the '59 sounds really good I found it too bassy/wooly compared to the Custom/C5 in the bridge. Made eqing my amp really difficult and I found myself comprimising which defeats the purpose of getting aftermarket pickups in the first place.
The Jazzn sounds almost exactly the same as the '59 exept it has slightly less bass and is a little more clear.
How about a aph-1 bridge pup in the neck to get more output to keep up with the custom? Or would that be defeating the purpose of the aph-1 sound?
I think if I didnt go 59 in the neck, or AII pro....I'd prolly go with a Seth or a Pearly Gates before I went with the Jazz....
whats the natural tone of the inividual instrument? is it bright? lacks mids? Bassy? then make an educated decision...
