I am not sure what opinion you guys hold on this but I love Gretsch guitars and think they are very unique, but am I the only one who feels crazy for spending $2000 on a new Gretsch that's got a big Made in Korea stamp on the headstock? I know that even the Korean models are better made than some of the original models made in the US, but still...... I have heard that now since Fender owns Gretsch they will be producing some Made in USA versions, but these are supposed to be in the $5000-$6000 range for a 6120. I don't know....... I guess this just honks me off for some reason. You can get a Gretsch used for much less like any other guitar, but the fact that someone has to buy it new just gets at me. Am I the only one that feels this way? Am I missing something?The bigger picture?????

Hi guys, All going according to plan, i should have both of these buckers come the end of the week, so any unbiased opinions on the differences between the two buckers, and what sort of situations they are used in??

Recently I've installed EL84 adaptors in my 6L6 amp. I just love the tone change but the speaker it's now the origin of my worries. It's a Celestion V12-80 and it's very dark sounding, probably due the high rated wattage (80Watts, now the amp it's 18Watts). I am thinking in replacing it with a Celestion G12H.

HELP! I have searched all over the web and I still can’t find the simple answer to a simple question. I want to remove the clear gloss finish on the back of my Charvel neck. What kind of sandpaper (grit) do I need to use and would Linseed or Tung oil be better to use on the neck after it’s been sanded. I’m only going to oil the neck; I won’t be putting a new finish on it.

Anybody played all three? I'd enjoy a comparison.

I'm gonna upgrade my cab some more, already have 2 Celestion Vintage 30ies but looking around I got interested in those Neodymium Celestions.

I've been playing a Crate GFX-65T for about 4 years now. It's been a good amp - just about all I need. It's all SS - 3 channels - 1 clean and 2 overdrive - with 3 separate FX programs - with an onboard chromatic tuner.
I've been out of country for a couple of weeks - so I haven't played the amp for about a month.

I just saw this Les Paul, custom made for demoing Gibson pickups. Man, I'd love to have a LP setup for intalling Duncans from the backside! This one isn't a terrible design, but I'm sure there's a better way of doing it.

Need some help here...I just got the firepod and boo hoo...checking my laptop, what I had assumed (yea assumed is actually a four letter word) was firewire is actually USB....am i screwed here? what do I need to do?

i always wondered how do these moses graphite fender replacement necks feel and sound? sounds is the big concern as usual...how would it sound if i replaced an all maple neck with it...about the same, darker, brighter etc etc? any info would be great. thanks.

Hey guys, I went in today to my local Duncan dealer to talk some more about what Duncans would be the best fit for my guitar and possibly make an order. The tech there recommended some handwound Rocket pickups which were slightly more than the Duncans, and basically stated that Duncans are great but handwound pickups are generally better quality than mass produced. I know I posted a couple of days ago and got some outstanding replies, but I just want to make sure the bases are covered before I take the big plunge! Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
