Having a blast building pedals from scratch lately! I have almost all the parts I need to build the pedals and just buy the Hammond boxes from Small Bear..

Awesome John...
Are they like the newer or older script models?

that looks neat
I wish I could do something like that also

Hopefully mine will be as good or better(After my tweaks)as the original quot;scriptquot; models?

I returned the EVH Phase 90 and prefer to build my own tweakable version instead..There were some things the EVH P90 could benefit from but the micro-technology components on the board, won't allow it..

Got my $100 back...

That's awesome. Have you tried it out yet? How does it sound compared to the quot;realquot; version?

That's $100 well refunded to be spent on parts. Is that the tonepad layout?
A Phase 90 build is definitely on my list so I can compare it with my orange RI.

Yep....The tonepad layout and it sounds great! I'm working on getting a bit more phase depth out of it,but it sounds really great...The difference in volumes between true bypass and phase is perfect....The pedal has a nice warm tone and it keeps the overall tone with no loss in lows...Great pedal...I'm very happy with it...I won't need to do too much else to it actually...Maybe a trimmer pot on the board replacing a resistor so I can tweak the phase depth where I want it....I Like it to be a bit less subtle..I've got about $25 total into this thing also and I also built the quot;Blue Magicquot; PEDAL off of JD's GGG site...Not done yet,but soon it will be..

man, I will custom make my own too if I got those skills .. =)

And here's the completed Phase 90 with true bypass switching,LED,etc...I need to get another nice hammond enclosure, but this allows me to get the pedal into something so I can use it meantime...Came out great and sounds great also. You only build them for yourself then?

Nice work, John. It's very gratifying when you make something like this and it actually works.

Very time consuming and not alot of money to be made making the occassional pedals..

Absolutely it is!

Wow! I wonder if you're gonna be selling it anytime soon... and then starting your own pedal business... and then pretty soon you'll be too sucessful and cool to talk to us...

j/k . Congratulations on your work, John!

No to the first two questions for now....And absolutely not on being too successful to talk to my buds here on the forums...I'm not planning on selling any of the pedals I've built(I've built like 6 cool pedals)....I would build a pedal here and there for a forum brother though...

John, do you think you could build me a self-modulating expander gate pedal with a multi-oscillating flux capacitor? I heard that these are going to be the next hot item in the new MF catalog! It would have to be true bypass,,,,,,of course.
