SANITARIUM (WELCOME HOME) VanMan Guy
THIS ONLY WORKS ON LO-FI
Hey dudes, I managed to record Sanitarium with Van Man's killer vox (He's from a diff. forum). I played the guitars and Van did the vox, and I have a crappy muffled Backing Track. The reason the sound is so muffled is because I played the backing track through one speaker (the second is broken), and recorded it with a broken, cheap mike. Cheers guys!Hope you like it!
Here's the clip:

Solos sound good to me, the quality is a bit digital, (i'm listenin' to lo-fi, so you'll have that)
I like the vocals, my band covers this song, with me and vocals and lead guitar, and this has definetly got us beat.
Good job!
Rock On - kac
Thanks man, but I guess it's because of his superb vocals lol. yeah due to tech. difficulties it only works on Lo-Fi. Thanks for posting!

G,
The above sentence is so METAL!
I think you're playing is very good. Better than I could've done on it. The singer's got good pipes as well.
Good job, the technology will come along as you start to be able to afford it.
I just typed out a review and accidentally closed the browser....
I'll try and summarise it...
That was a very, very good cover.
Keep working on the vibrato, i think it has improved, but it still sounded a little uneven at times. Also try putting a bit more power into the bends, sometimes it sounds like you're bending them up too slowly. Theres a few mistakes in the second solo but no big deal. I miss the fast solo, but until you can play it, best to leave it out.
Overall though, it's a kickass cover. Mabe a little delay on the vox would be a good idea, but yeah, that guy can sing!
BTW, with the amount of recording that you do, you should get yourself a POD. Saves micing a practice amp, and you can get a pretty kickass sound. Also, instead of running the backing track through a speaker, get a free multitracking recording program (I use like Kristal Audio Engine)
Getting better G123. Much better. Keep at it.
That was cool, nice to hear a track with vocals, really adds to the song. You playing has improved, and i'm sure it will keep improving if you keep pushing with these type of songs. For a 13 year old your playing is really great, i just hope you keep putting in the effort to keep developing. I wasnt a fan of the tone, it sounded quite buzzy but i think that is down to the fact that im listening on lo-fi and its recorded with crappy mic, anyway the playing is of far more importance, as being only 13 you have alot of time in the future to be spending cash on expensive gear and recording stuff, and i think you played it well, nice one.
Thanks guys! I really appreciate it.
Guys could you please give me some feedback?
bump..
We need more people in the Tips and Clips section!!
C'mon guys, bump...
Can i have some of your backing tracks i dont know where to find decent ones. Pretty good but it seems you lose track of tempo, especially during the quot;sanitarium, leave me bequot; riff. Also in the solo i noticed it too. Not bad though. Oh and you left a solo out
suislide, if you EVER need a backing track, go here: www.guitarbt.com
Im actually already registered there.. the files NEVER work.
Hmmm... I've never had a problem
Then try guitars101.com forum, there are a couple over there. But try re-registering over at guitarbt. Anyways, to be on topic, feedback my friends lol
