I am transcribing a cemetery and want to be able to sort by birth date and
death date. I have already entered the dates as year-month-date all numbers.
(yyyy-mm-dd). eventually it will be posted on line and will be a little
confusing to read that way. I would rather have it read day month and year
(06-May-1889) with or without the -
Is there any way that I can change everything, short of going back and
redoing the whole thing?
If there is any way I need simple complete direction's.
Once you have entered the dates, Excel maintains them internally as a number
of days sice 01/01/1900.
You can format thes dates the way you like, this will only show different
formats, not change the internal dates.
