Anyone happen to know what type of gear Omar from The Mars Volta uses?

Last I heard he used an Ibanez GAX type (custom made lefty though) with only a single coil sized 'bucker at the bridge, looked like a Lil 59 or something similar. In the studio he has an 80's Tele he uses a fair bit.

When he was in ATDI he had a Squier bullet strat too.

For amps his main one is an Orange AD140 w/ matching cab and A LOT of FX pedals...

Yeah, i thought the guitar looked like an ibanez AX or GAX series, i would've never guessed he used orange amps.

Yeah, it did seem a bit odd to me aswell, although a nice loud non-master volume head would probbaly be good for pedals as I'm guessing he gets his distortion from pedals.

Apparently the FX pedal collection is well into the hundreds too...

I can't believe all the tones he can get out of a single humbucker equipped Ibanez. When I saw how simple his gear (amp and guitar anyway) was, it blew my mind.

Yeah, he does get alot of different tone's, i would really like to have an example of some of his normally used pedals, i know he uses alot.... But does anyone know the ones his uses regulary?(sp?)
