ive been pretty happy with what my v-amp 2 can do up till now, but hearing DSS's xmas clip yesterday got me really wanting a PODxt what do you guys think of it? is it worth the money?

I have a V-Amp Pro and I'd gladly trade it in for a PODxt

ive been browsing the tips amp; clips board for things done with the xt, so far ive been impressed with everything i found. looks like im gonna be getting this, but more input never hurts....

i like the Boss GT series, I have a GT Pro...I like the fact you can combine amp models, and the serious effects tweaking.

Have you considered a TonePort from Line 6? You get all the XT (and Bass XT) software, plus some cool recording progs and a handy mic/guitar interface for $200. Its on my Xmas list

Actually the $130 version looks like the same thing, but it doesn't have a headphone volume control. Those look pretty nice for the price and features. I think I might get it to replace my crappy fender practice amp.

The toneport does sound pretty sweet, and i think i am gona ask for one for christmas, but remember, this is for recording to your computer only. you cant use it in front of an amp or into a PA at all, so that really limits what you can do with it.

Actually you can it has line outs on the back, you can get plugged into a power amp or pa if you want. The thing is you require a computer to adjust the settings and everything else.

V-amp = holy ****ing **** I can't believe someone could make something sound this bad.

XT = ditto, but replace quot;badquot; with quot;good.quot;

all my clips and vocals done thru a pod xt
