Well, I am looking for some new pickups/ maybe only one new pickup for my BC Rich Mockingbird, and I've been looking at the screamin' demon. My main interest is old school hard rock and heavy metal, would this pup be a good candidate for these genres? (I guess you're gonna say quot; What do you think? it's from george friggin lynchquot;)

The guitar body is made of basswood, the neck of maple and the fretboard of rosewood.

I tried a Demon in my Strat(my test rabbit) with a basswood body and maple neck. It was very bright with bite. Almost harsh but cool.

I will say it sounds way better in my mahogany SG. The rosewood fretboard tamed those highs and turned that biting charactor to a Growl. The Demon in my other SG with an ebony fretboard is still biting with not as much growl.

Hmm, maybe I should look elsewhere then.

YUP! Its HARSH and BRIGHT!

Wouldn't say it was harsh, but it is bright and lacks a bit on the lows....Look elsewhere!

Thank you for the help guys.
