Hi i was wondering what the best option for pickups would be for my tele style guitar that im putting together its a ash body, with a allparts 22 jumbo fret maple neck with rosewood fret board. I am interested in the antiquity pups but cant decide what would be the best choice or if i should use two different pups for the neck and bridge instead of the two antiquity, the kind of music which it will be used for is rock, alternative, blues and softer styles of playing.
Thanks a lot any help would be great

There's several that I really love.

The Antiquitys are one set and I highly recommend them. If you're a Roy Buchanan fan you'll love the Antiquitys.

The Jerry Donahue is an alnico 2 pickup like the Antiquity but wound just a little hotter.
It's based on those very rare early 50's Tele pickups that were wound a little hotter than most and have a fatter tone with smoother highs and thick pronounced mids. I had an original pickup in my '51 Tele that sounded alot like a P-90 and the Jerry Donahue is very similar. It's usually paired with the Alnico 2 pro for Tele neck pickup.

And then there's the Duncan Tele Hot. It's the pickup Duncan VP Evan Scopp uses in his Tele and it's a great pickup and the hottest of the Duncan Tele pickups. If you go for the Tapped version you can put a 5 way switch in your Tele and get five differant tones! Hot Bridge, Hot Bridge amp; Neck, Neck, Vintage Brideg amp; Neck, Vintage Bridge.

Good luck! Lew

Thanks for the help, after hearing a soundclip of them i decided to buy a pair of antiquitys from guitarelectronics.com, just curious are these actually wound by sd i read that somewhere and just thought id ask.
Thanks again
