I was just wondering about peoples opinion. I've heard a few good things about the Korean made Barettas... are they worth it though?
Hopefully Zerb will drop in. That there boy knows almost if not all there is to know about Jacksons.
Um,I think you need some sleep there D-man,(or you've been rolling too many shopping carts down hills )
The new Kramers that I've tried are pretty solid, but for the price range I'd also check out Fender,Epiphone,Schecter,Hamer, the PRS CE series, and Jacksons.
Hey man, that wasnt me, that was all Cody! I only drove the truck behind him. It was his naked ass in that wagon, dammit!
My kramer is pretty solid constructionwise. It has epiphone electronics which were proving unreliable so i re-did all that. With gotoh tuners, the quad-rail pups its a pretty good guitar! Got it really cheap too
The electronics are terrible... everything else is fine though.
Most people change out the pups anyway.
I own a Baretta and a Striker. GREAT guitars for the money that are reliable enough to gig with, sound great, and play great.
Only a very few minor complaints about them one of which is the pickups suck...but the other electronic components are great.
The floyd copies are solid and stable with the exception of some screws which stripped on mine. But they were 10 cents to replace so that's not really a problem IMO.
Everything else has been great though....frets are a little low but the fretwork is great, even, and clean.
