I just bought an '05 Edwards '61 RI copy, laquer top series. It's walnut color, nitro finish, JB/'59 combo, long neck tenon (as any good SG should have). I hope to have it in a week or so.

Accually, I might be selling the Standard. I think IT'S too good for ME! I'll see how this works out. If the reputation is what I hear it is, I won't need the Standard. I'm not sure I need all that bling.

Wow, that's quite possibly the 2nd pimpest SG ever...stock, after the majestic...SG Supreme blue blackburst flame maple top, lol. Although that's a gibson so it's a pos in the guitar department but whatever...

not sure if they've ever been sold officially in the US before, but you can import them.

I got this one on Ebay. You can find Les Paul copies all the time, but shipping to the US is usually $125 because they are MIJ. I'm sure Gibson makes it pretty tough to get one otherwsie- they have quite a reputation. The SGs are not listed as often. This one is in Virginia, so I jumped on it...$25 shipping. It better NOT be Parcel Post (right Xeromus?).

I forget the carrier they use, but it's VERY fast. I wouldn't worry so much about it. But it doesn't hurt to ask.

that '61 reissue is one good looking guitar. i actually almost bought one the other day...my plan was to apply for the guitar center credit card and use that to pay it off, but the bastards didn't approve me. one day though.
