Just do it!
Do it...Do it.
Err... i'd rather have a JCM800!
you have a marshall...buy a real amp...get an engl

Well for the money, if the parts listed are accurate, then it's not a bad buy. It's a clone, but Mercury Magnetics are about the most expensive trannies you can buy, (but not necessarily *that* much better than several other american manufacturers).
I know I already have a Marshall. I should just really buy a Two Rock. I'm also thinking about buying Scott's Franklin/Lightning...whatever it's called...head.
I am so confused. I really don't need anything...it's all about want.
keep your money in your pocket until you find a tone you can't live without...

-Mikewell good sir...I could give a rats ass about vintage, but I bet your Marshall could kick ass if you'd crank it up!!!
Mike needs to sell that JMP to me. It's just a big dust collector at this point....damn shame.

I really liked the tone of my '84 2204. Simply wicked. Damn theives....
Jeff: if you've got the cash and can use it, it's worth it. Find a variac, turn it down to about 87v going into the amp, then you'll be getting more brown sounds than on a toilet bowl after taco night!

yup lol...it's in the corner looking all pretty not even plugged in anymore lol. ok, i'll go play it in a few just for you...but i'm sticking my quot;primal screamquot; pedal in front of that sucker though lol...it just doesn't have enough grunt for me.
next time i see my brother i'll think about asking if i can sell it.

You ARE kidding, right? I had a 1982 JCM 800 and I thought it was the cat's meow--until I put it up against a plexi (granted, a real 67) and then sold it. This was the late 80's. Live and learn. Get a few years on ya and listen to a few more amps. If the JCM800 is what you live for, then good for you but most people will go with a plexi or numerous others over a JCM 800
