So I got this sweet deal on a JCM 900 50 watt head. You may have seen the post last week.

Anyway, I am taking it in to be re-tubed and totally checked out. I was recommended Svetlana EL34s and EH 12AX7s.

The guy I am taking it to can order Svetlanas and EH's but he has JJ's in stock.

Will I see a ton of difference with the JJ's? I want to do this thing right, I want as Marshall a tone as possible. If I need to order Svetlanas and EH's I will do that.

I would also like to have the amp back quickly so if the JJ's are good to go I may do that.

I am looking for that classic Marshall Tone. I know the JCM 900 was not built to be a classic amp by any means but I'd like to get as close as I can.
