I have a PRS ce24 (mahogany body/maple top, rosewood fb) and through years of playing the pole pieces are rusting on the pups and the wirings going bad (damn sweaty hands ) time to do a swap.

i'm pretty set on getting a jazz for the neck, but i want an SD pup that's similar to the PRS Treble 7. any ideas?

Too bad you couldn't just get another set of the pickups you've been currently using? Obviously you like them or you would have replaced them years ago.No?

My buddie's C24 was pretty dark and he went with a pickup change, but they weren't Duncans? I think he went with Tom Anderson humbuckers in his?

I didn't mind the stock prs pups, but i don't like the idea of dropping $105.00 a piece for an quot;okquot; sound. I've used duncans in other guitars and really like the sound. i just don't want to change the sound too drastically on the PRS, as it holds a place in my lineup only it fills. just lookin for advice

In my PRS CU24 I've got a jazz/A2P neck, and a C5/JB, Custom/Distortion, CC/JB2 bridge. I'm not familiar with the Treble 7 so i can't help you a lot ut the JB/C5 hybrid sounds pretty good, so I'd look into a JB or C5 if I were you.

I've visited the PRS web page looking for the Treble 7 description.

from : localhost/on that description and the fact that you want a Jazz in the neck I think you won't be mistaken if you get a JB for the bridge.

The Jb it's bright (well, uppermiddy) It has the output and it isn't completely modern nor vintage, it falls in between.

The only concern could be about the cleans since JB doesn't really shines on it, but it does a decent job.
