You read correctly.
I have sold off my Fulltone Fat Boost and Full-Drive 2 and went with a new pedal combo. Brow is mostly to blame for this, because once I went to 30th St Guitarw with him, I got the bug!!
J/K!!
I have found a pedal combo that suits my needs better:
Homebrew Electronics Big D overdrive
from : localhost/homebrewelectronics.com/products.htm
z.Vex Super Duper boost
from : localhost/Big D is simply amazing ... totally transparent when not in use, and 5 different overdrives on tap, by selecting the diode of your choice. One of the settings is right in the Fulltone range. The range of versatility on this pedal is SICK!! With any one gain setting, just turning the Diode selector switch allows for a tremendous variety in tone.
Full review/clips coming soon!!!

Glad you've found something that works for you \m/
Heh
I've been curious about that Homebrew Big D. Never tried it. I like the Power Screamer, so I'd imagine the Big D is a great pedal.

I compared the Big D, Power Screamer, and Dos Mos all together.
The Power Screamer is indeed a great pedal! The versatility of the Big D ultimately won out, tho!

That's cool news Ben. I'm glad you found a pedal combo that works better for you than that Fulltone trash you used to use

Damn, I pity the fool that paid through the nose for those pieces of crap!
LOL
And as Hoss would say: New stuff rocks
Lol agreed with max - it was mere days ago that u were saying how nothing but fulltone did the job! rock on!

That was until he tried the ZVex Super Duper that I ended up buying
I am embarrassed to say I haven't even heard of either pedal you got... but they both look interesting. Back in the day the only pedals I ever saw were Boss and DOD!! Next time I hit NYC I am going to that store!!
I have a pink sparklie Super Duper. It's snazzy as ****!

Fulltone still gets the job done. Ain't nothing wrong with it.
But, there's always something better out there.
So, stop being a snot!!
Z vex make some awesome stuff, i havent heard the homebrew pieces though.
Okay, so far I've been playing the pedal through my JCM800 and a 1x12 cab.
Just switched to the 2x12 and will run through all the settings again, and then a 4x12.
Since there are 15 different OD settings (that's 5 diode settings, each with hard and soft clipping, and an additional gain stage), even if you keep the Level, Gain, and Tone knobs the same, there is a lot of note taking going on.
Detailed review coming soon! (Not sure how to do the clips yet, tho )
