I know Jeff Beck used to play Les Pauls especially in the early days with Rod Stewart. But he also played it with Beck, Bogert and Appice and is pictured playing it some on quot;Blow by Blowquot; and quot;Wired.quot; I saw him play it the entire concert with he was with BBA. I know Seymour designed the pickups for his TeleGib but does anyone know the pickups he used with his black Les Paul that he used in the early and mid 70quot;s?
Thanks,
CoachC
The Oxblood one form the cover of Blow by Blow was a 54 Gold Top that was refinished had Schaller keys and a set of PAF's from a different Les paul that got broken, this guitar was modded when Jeff bought it. Most if not ALL of his other LP's were late 50's and had the stock PAF's in them...Seth's, Ant's or 59's would get you pretty close. You should also know that Jeff said he has not played a Les Paul since getting the Tele-Gib and currently only owns one Paul...it is the one from the cover of Blow by Blow!
I think he was using Strats in BBA, at least he was when I saw them. He used a white one with a rosewood fretboard. Kicked major league butt....but then he could do that with a broomstick and wire
