You guys are always good for opinions. Anyway, been wanting a LP Standard for a while now. Been checking out used and they seem to be anywhere from $1,200 to $1,500. Now I have a line on a brand new one for $1,695. I know it's alot of jack, but it almost seems to make more sense to spend a few hundred more for a new one. I'm trying to move my LP DC to quot;offsetquot; the cost somewhat. What would you guys do??

Thanks,
Kevin

If you want to get rid of the Les Paul doublecut, then sell it. I'd get the new Les Paul over the used ones....unless you've played the used ones and they're not beat up, play good, sound good, and the like.

But at 1700, you're now in the range for a nice used Historic Reissue Les Paul... food for thought. In my mind, they are a cut above.

What PUPS are in your DC LP? I may be interested if they have P90's!!

I hear you Scott and I've thought about that. I've heard they have real fat necks. Not good for my wus hands. Also, not real fond of the gold top and that seems to be the only one's I can find for that price. Good point though, thanks. More food for thought.

Sorry Blue, it has a Rio Grande BBQ/Texas set which does rock but not quite P-90's!! I'm trying to get around $925 for it and have sent lots of pics out, but no takers yet.
