ok i am pondering selling my copper 1 of a kind 2002 prototype Gibson les paul. it's 100% real deal 1 off Gibson, not a copy or a fake or anything like that. most of you are familiar with it. anyway, i do not have a set price yet and i am not 100% set on selling it either. i love this guitar and there is just some magic to it that everyone who sees it and plays it sees. however, i hardly ever play it due to it's rarity so i'm thinking of passing it along.

please PM me with your offer, don't post here and don't be cute with stuff like i'll trade you my mexican strat and $4.56 for it lol. serious offers from serious buyers please. NO TRADES and NO sales out of the US lower 48 states sales (sorry).

oh yeah, and think big people, this is not a regular standard or custom or something you can buy outside of ordering a copy/clone of it from the gibson custom shop, it's a true 1 of a kind.

again, it's not 100% for sale but if someone offers the right price, it's theirs.

all the original pickups, rings etc are included along with the duncans..

DON'T ****ING SELL THAT BABY MIKE!Oh yeah, want a peavey raptor for it

G#$ DAMN that's beautiful. If you sell it, I will personally have to kick your ass. If you're not sure, you're not going to sell it. It's obvious you are attached to it, sentimentally as well as collectibility. So what you don't play it. Keep her in the case and enjoy her every now and then. I rarely play my '88 Kramer (Kline graphic - see avatar) but I love it and will never part it with. Sure, it's no Gibby one-off but I haven't seen another one like it.

Some history on this guitar; I am the original owner. I bought it from and was told by Dave that he aquired this, and two others in blue and red metallic, and that they were one-off prototypes of a custom color custom that never went into production. There are only three that exist, and only one in this copper color. It's a killer guitar.

57 RI' Gold Top USA Strat or Tele.....maybe?

NM25: i dunno man, i LOVE this guitar but i never touch it. once in a blue moon she comes out of the case for a jam but i'm so paranoid with it. i think that selling it and putting the cash towards gear i know will get lots of use may be a better idea. however i'm still very iffy on selling it. it's one of those situations where if the price is right she goes, if not she stays and either way i'm happy.

erik: i hear ya man but it almost seems sinful for me to have it under my bed hiding when i could buy some kick ass stuff i know i would play and give it to a person that will treat it right but also not be as paranoid about palying it and scratching it like it am. i'm torn lol

TC: thanks for the added info for those who didn't know...and the guitar

Jeff: sorry man just looking for CASH! i have my heart set on what i'd buy if it sells so i'm not looking for trades. thanks though!

Mike. Don't sell that guitar.

Are you sure one of these exist? I saw one at music source on Greenbay Road.

Joe: if the price is right she goes, if not, she stays and i'm fine either way.

-Mike

You should buy my Triamp once it's sold

What you saw was likely the studio version that came in these colors and without any fretmarkers. The studio versions went into production for a couple years, the customs never did. This one is a Les Paul Custom.

There's also a Les Paul Classic version with a copper top like this one, but it has inlays, isn't a custom, and only has a copper top vs. all copper like this custom is.

Here's a link to the discontinued studio page for comparision, and a pic of the copper studio.

thanks for catching that TC. i somehow missed that post.

yes as TC said, she is 100% legit 1 of a kind, not one of the stuidio models.

-Mike

can you send me some more pics to too_ez74@ameritech.net i'd like to see the headstock front and back and a full body shot of the back

i will take all new detailed pics of it and add them to this post tomorrw (i'm tired now lol) but for now here is what i have. i am PMing you the headstock back with serial # and such. i rather not post that here. the back of the guitar is also the same color as the front the metallic copper. front of body sides of body back of neck and back of headstock...all copper.

headstock front:-Mike

Don't sell it, that would be XSSIVEly silly. Just wait till you get more money. Patience is a virtue, and it certaintly won't hurt you. It would be right to keep it and wait, so you can have all the things you want and it out eat you that you sold it to someone and you won't be able to hold it.
