Hi, i am after some new tubes for my recently purchased marshall jcm900. i have my 2 el34 tubes sorted but now i need 3 12x7 tubes. i was just on a website and there are some tubes described as ecc83/12x7. what does this mean? will these tubes be right for my amp?
as you can tell i am totally new to all of this tube business so please help. thanks
a 12AX7, an ECC83 and a 7025 are all the same tube
ECC83 is the Euro designation for a 12AX7 tube..
ahh i see, thanks very much guys
how about el34 valves? are there any other numbers i should look out for that are the same as them?

EL34/6CA7.....The USA versions are normally bigger and rounder and look more like a 6L6....The EL34 is normally a bit taller but thinner around...
6CA7 is the US designation for the Euro EL34 tube.
I think there main called el-34, they can be called either valves or tubes.
