With a backtrack
My playing is not spot on, but I liked the feel of it.
This is one of those backers where you can record over and over again...it is is not as straightforward as it sounds, but the tempo is wonderful and the mood is something I like.
Used my Kramer, Plexitone, Delayla echo and my compressor.
from : localhost/here is the backtrack, Moyra's jamtrack
from : localhost/the track is great to play over.
Very 80's sounding! I picture you playing it with a Members Only jacket on (sleeves rolled up of course), a skinny tie, and acid washed jeans.
Damn...that's sweet.
I've almost got my take finished...got that last big break to fill in and then I'll try to show ya how I was feeling that one!
Uber-cool.
I haven't heard a clip from you in ages!
That kicked some major buttocks! Best I've heard from you. The playing reminded me of David Gilmour a lot.
very 80's indeed...very good indeed...I liked it!
I kinda missed seeing the Jam threads by Rid in the Tips and Clips section, great to have you posting tracks again.
Thanks guys
I'll wait for the takes from you now.
It is a most fun track to play over.
from : localhost/rough.. I did my usual thing of just jamming it without giving the backing a full listen through.. that key change/middle section got me and I had to cut and start another solo
I've just noticed the guitar clips slightly, I'll update that now
Ok, I think I fixed it.. let me know if it still clips
No clipping here!
Cool stuff Nuni, love those runs you throw in here and there.
What did you use for this??
Your sound has changed
Just my Gordon Smith strat - A2JB/Stock into the guitar port on the JCM 800 model. I usually use the Soldano model, but I managed to get the Marshall to sound smoother for this track.
I added a bit of delay in Cubase too to get it sounding a bit more airy
Ok, just listened to your version Rid.
I see you found out how to block that damn floyd thing then!
Nice take man, it captured the mood well. I especially liked the licks straight after the middle key change section.
Nice track, nice playing, nice sound. I missed it.
Good to have you back, Rid.
Ok Nuni and thanks.
Hi Marin, yep life has gotten more stable...so I'm back
Question...are y'all VIP members on Soundclick or what? The file is too large for me to put up or something...
Anyone know what might be going on?
Hmm no I mix it down to a 24bit Wave file in Nuendo2, and then I encode it in my iTunes to a 128Mbit Mp3, before uploading it.
I didn't have much luck with this track... I'm not posting mine

What bitrate are you using? The upload limit on the normal account is 10 mb. You've probably got it in a high bitrate and have gone over the 10mb limit.
Irregardless of what bitrate you upload in, it'll get encoded for 128 kbps, so just upload it in 128 to save time uploading.

Come on you wuss! It's only a bit of fun
Anyone else gonna have a go at the track? Nobody is obliged to try and play the whole track, it'd just be interesting to hear different approaches to even one section
I might give it a shot when I come home today. I live in an apartment though so I can turn up my amp that high, that sucks ....Well, I'll let you know later today or maybe tomorrow.
Dang, I can´t listen to your music Rid...some technical difficulties. I gotta figure out what´s wrong.
Good to have you back here!
Wow, a new Rid clip... man, you make me want to jump in... good to see you again bro!
Amazing playing. Great whammy bar work. Nice tone too. Damn, if only I had more time...
