A few weeks back I posted asking for advice. My soon-to-be 13 year old son wants a Gibby LP. A bit pricey for me and not sure that a guitar of that value belongs in the hands of someone of that age.
Several people recommended Agile LPs.
Anyone know anything good or bad about Agile guitars? Differences between their various models? There are a number of them on eBay in the $200 - $400 range. Most are mahogany w/ Ebony boards.
Here are a couple of current postings on eBay.

They look good in their listings, but am I missing something? How do they compare (tone amp; quality) to the real deal? How do they compare (tone amp; quality) to Epi's or other copies?
Thanks for everyones help and sharing your knowledge.
Agile's are also sold on Rondo Music's website: at this one for example: from : localhost/these or an Epi Les Paul would be a great start for your son ata reasonable price to see if he'll stick with it.
My girlfriend is getting me the white one you posted for our anniversary and I too am still wanting more info on these guitars. Every review I've ever read raves about them being equal to if not better than epiphone guitars. I would say what do you have to lose for that price? Your 13 year old son isnt gonna know whats good or bad plus at least he's not starting out on a squire.

For better or worse he knows the name quot;Gibsonquot; and worships it. To him Gibson = good. I can't argue that, but I can argue $400 vs $1000
Good news is, no he didn't start on a Squier, bad news is he DID start on an Aria strat starter pack $200 for a guitar AND amp (or is it a transistor radio speaker in a 10quot; cabinet?).
I just got a Gamp;L Legacy tribute and love it. He wants an H-H configuration on mahogany (he likes the dark tone) so I was also thinking about the Gamp;L invader as well.
I own an Agile AL-3000 and the thing smokes great guitar for the money I have had no issues with it at all so far its a solid built instrument that plays and sounds great.
I love my goldtop 2500. I've put a set of phat cats in her since these pics. Sounds great.
I have a P90 2500 agile LP and this is a really great guitar for the money... For that price (229$) I can't say anything bad against it... sounds ok with stock pick-ups, plays great, and even looks good... I'd say he'll like it even tho it doesn't say Gibson...
