looking for a good chromatic pedal tuner....
which ones do you guys use???
I use the BOSS TU-2 and swear by it.
Rock On!
Peterson Strobo-stomp.
Peterson Strobo-stomp (Hands down the best that I know of), any other tuner is just guitar tuner masterbation!!!!!!
I dont use the Strobo stomp but, I use a Peterson VS II in my shop everyday!!!! Mainly becasue I dont need a pedal tuner, one that sits on the bench suits me alot better!
All pedal questions are supposed to be in Amplifer Central
Just tryin' to help ya out!
Strobostomp... simply the best
strobostomp is the best
but best for the money? the Boss TU-2 ...in my ever humble opinion
i use a peterson on the bench but a boss tu2 on the floor
sorry, i didnt realize this is the wrong place....
anyways, i've always wanted an explaination of what a strobe tuner is.
functionally and electronically... any help on that?
also, how does the boss tu-2 show a flat or sharp tuning, for example dropping down a half step. the little display isnt big enough to show Eb or whatever, so is there an LED that lights for that?
pretty sure this place is fine
Though nobody here seems to like it, the Strobostomp is supposed to be the shizzle.
I'm quite happy with my Peterson tuner.
Did anyone mention Peterson strobe tuners yet? Seriously, the line of digital strobe tuners are hard to beat.
Boss Tu-2
No love for the Korg DT-10?
i have a bos on the board, but i want a peterson that is not a pedal.
The Peterson Strobes that aren't a pedal are quite cool, our High School Band has one and it has this attachment to clip on the bell of your horn to tune even more accurately.

Same here. I've always wondered what the difference was, and I've heard people say that strobes were more accurate?
The simple answer is that strobe tuners are based on a principle of physics(lining up controlled strobe pulses with variable speed rotating discs) that yields much more accurate tuning than simple needle based tuners or digital tuners that sample the frequencies. The strobostomp is the real deal. It is a lot of money, but youre guitar will be waaaay more in tune and you'll be able to intonate your guitar much more accurately. It is also true bypass and works as a DI.
You can also hit it with a baseball bat or drive over it and it still works!
