It has quot;Ravenquot; on the headstock and looks like it was made in the 70's, probably in the same factory as Aria and the Ibanez Gibson clopies. Price tag is $225 Canadian, about $180 US.
6 piece maple bolt on neck (three piece neck with seperators maple slab on headstock)
5 piece alder body (two piece cap, two piece back, maple divider
Nice action, bound rosewood fingerboard
SG shape
Garbage tuners
Duel humbuckers with decent sound, working pots and switchFour months ago I bought an epiphone special with the intention to replace the tuners and bridge, stick a phat cat in it, and refinish the whole thing. Get the finish down to the wood and then replace it with polymerized tung oil. Now, if I bought this guitar, I'd still have to replace the tuners, but I'd save $90 on not needing a new bridge. I'd loose some money on the resale of the epiphone, depending on who I sold it to.The epiphone has ok action, no binding, a three piece maple bolt on neck, and a four piece body with some parts alder and other luan.
What do you think I should do? Ditch the epiphone and get the 70's Japanese sg clone?
