This guitar makes my Tele's run and hide and I bet it eats Lester's for lunch!

Yep, those things are the bee's knees. I've wanted a Monaco Elite since they came out. Just haven't quite had the cash at the right time.

If they would just use crown inlays, they would have me.

I like vine inlays, they look awsome

I'm pretty Hamer still does custom inlays.

You know what I'm looking for...does anyone remember the Tele style guitars they put out in the mid-90's? I can't even find pictures of 'em now.

Do you mean the T-51?

Totally!

The only one I've seen for sale in the last year or two was in a GC and it was heavily urrr...ummm...customized.

I'm looking for one that's fairly stock, maybe a pickup or tuner swap but the neck amp; body need to be original amp; untouched.

NICE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! love me some hamers

Stop teasing me...do you own that one? How much?!? LOL

I have a Monoco Super Pro just like that. Only thing I didn't like was the Custom used as a neck pickup so I replaced it with a Seth Lover. The Seth and the Custom Custom sound great together.

We did do a shootout a year or so ago between my Hamer Monoco Super Pro and my '59 Les Paul Historic with Tom Holmes HB's and my buddy's '58 Les Paul Plaintop with burstbuckers...and a few other guitars too.

And yes: those Les Pauls were darn good for lunch...the Monoco enjoyed eating them up!

gorgeous top, but 25.5quot; scale, chambered body, and ebony board are deal killers for me

I don't understand the use of a Duncan Custom in the neck either...I cannot imagine that sounds very good

It works at lower amp volumes and has a very fat tone. But at higher amp volumes it turns to woofy mush if you need a very clean tone for rythym...works well for solos on the neck pickup though.

Not a good choice for a neck pickup, IMO...the Seth sounds alot better.

But the CC is a great choice for the bridge humbucker.

And the Seth n and CC b sound great together.

Those look sweet! What's the mini-switch on the Nashville setup do?

FWIW...I'd even take a neck if anyone has one laying around. I've had a Diablo for eons, since '93 or so when they came out and I love the shape of that neck. That's really what's driving me to find a Hamer T51, if I could get my hands on a neck I'd roll a Warmoth body and piece together a FrankenTele.

The Nashville has a three way coil tap switch : Hum-cancelling/single coil/out of phase. It works on the bridge pick-up. The pups are Tom Anderson hum-canceling pickups (TD-2 bridge, SA-1 middle, TD-1 neck)If you are looking for a T-51, check out the Hamer Fanclub board. Sometimes a T-51 pops up there. For a nice one you'll pay 700-800 $.

This is what I would think..it's hot and could easily become over saturated/woofy.

You don't find the CC *too* middy in that guitar, Lew? (is yours a 25.5quot; scale as well?)

And those are some pretty Teles, CCC!

nice T-51's !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
