I need a new head. I can go up to about $900. I need something that can do everything from ska to metal. Any suggestions?

Anyone? Please?

Bogner Shiva head, if you can spend more.

Also look at Peavey JSX, VHT, Mesa Stilletto or Lonestar Special, Marshall JCM 2000 50W

I'de suggest trying to find a used Head. That way you get sumthing better than you could afford new. Provided you go to a good dealer a used head will be in just as good condition as a New one. Just substantially cheaper.

I'de suggest trying to find....Marshall jcm 2000 series, Peavey 5150 II (actully more versital than peopleseem to think), Anything Vht, Vox ac-30 Head (hard ta find used though), Crate Vintage club series (try to get any of the Pre digital effects models cause they sound much better), the new B-52 tube model (very nice cheap and versital), Or possibly an Old Peavey head (normally really cheap, and usally fairly nice sounding)

Or you could skip the whole quot;has to be a headquot; part, and get a nice larger combo amp instead. I know they don't look as kool or quot;rockstarquot; up on stage. But they're normally easyer to find used, and kinda opens up the selection alot.

For combos I'de suggest....
Early 80's Fender tube amps (I know people think they suck but they're actully really good, and since people hate them they're also very cheap), Fender Hotrod series (very flexable), Peavey Classic series, Marshall Jcm 2000 series, Mesa Lonestar, Crate vintage club series, Peavey Transtube (not as wonderful as a tube amp, but still decent enough to work with), Vox ac-30 or ac-15 (Two of the greatest amps known to man. Buy a booster though), Or possibly a Fender twin reverb (silverface, early 80's or current reissue. Originals are outragiously priced and not very consistantly good. Hard to find these used. And you'll also need a good distortion box, seeing as these are Best at Cleans. 85watts)

I've heard good things about those sovtek mig amps . . . you can usually get those for a few hundred dollars on ebay . . .
