Id firstly like to apologise for asking EMG related questions on the seymour duncan forum, however i cannot find another good forum anywhere... EMG do not seem to have a dedicated one either....

Well anyway if you guys have forgiven me maybe you can help....

I recently purchased an EMG 81/SA/SA set and am in the process of installing at the moment.

The wiring that went from the pots to the previous pickups was just simple wires however as you may well know EMG have a quot;quick connectquot; wiring setup... These connectors are already connected and taped up... Im having trouble trying to get these from the back of the guitar to where the pickups connect... Basically im trying to decide whether to cut the wires, put them through and resolder or i was wondering if there was anyway to take the quick connect plastic tabs off?...

Im not sure that really makes any sense but if you guys can help that would be great...

Remove the leads from the pots and resolder them. You could try removing the quick-connect clips, but be careful
