When one by one, all of your axes go on strike (main Players of course first)?

Lets see, where do I start....AAAH, Yes, my Dinky. On Wednesday after work, I tossed in our tentative live set and started Jamming...took all of 15 minutes, then she lost her G-string.

OK, no biggie, picked up Phoenix....exact same thing.....stopped playing, slightly unnerved, drank a beer, then visitors came by anyway.

Both Main axes temporarily out of order.

Thursday, I took out my old Flying V, and she lasted about an hour, then broke a string retainer claw on the Kahler. Nothing to cry about, I´ve got extras, but it´s about an hour of work and meand redoing the setup afterwards....

I diodn´t get a chance to play again until Today, and today my Blue AT-1 also broke the G-string after about 30 minutes....

I´m now down to the Model 6 (tuned to C), the DK-1 (also in c), my Les Paul Gothic and a Rhoads. The Charvel strathead still needs a new bridgeplate and the JRS-2 is sold....... I think I know what I´m gonna be doing next weekend

Anyone else ever have quot;one of those weeksquot;?

THE G BAD WEEK!
:/

Ouch if that happened to me i would be out of guitars!

this happens to me all the time, but i use a blocked strat trem with schaller locking tuners so if i do break a string i can put another one back on in a matter of seconds.

But it is annoying, since i dont have an infinite supply of strings....

Back in 1987 the band I was in got hired to play a high school dance. They approved our playlist which was nothing but rock, metal and originals which was cool. We had a blues jam in the middle of the set and within the first few notes of my solo the G pops on my LP. Okay, the other guy takes over while I switch guitars. My turn now--POP--the G on my STRAT blows. The other guy takes over while I get my last guitar, my Ibanez doublneck. My turn and...you guessed it! POP. I just couldn't believe it. They finished the jam, which had solos by everyone while I strung up the LP and thank goodness the strings lasted the rest of the gig. These were all new strings too!

garahph techs!!!!

Bad run, Zerb.

A friend had the same thing happen with amps. Three broke down and he was reduced to using a practice amp.

About ten years ago ,

we played a gig and suddenly the power went off on stage , and before we could shut our equipment off , somebody put it on again .

Because of the powerboost that came , my preamp and rackfx were blown up and also a keyboard . I had to play clean directly into the mixing table the rest of the night

The next day I ran into the stores to get it al fixed for the gig we had that evening . they got it all fixed .

The gig that evening ; first I broke a lockingscrew of the saddle of my floyd that night before the gig by replacing the strings , no big deal , the strings were replaced but after 10minutes of playing , the string of the broken locking broke . I had to play the rest of the gig with my second guitar .
Later that night a lady jumps up the stage to ask me something , when she leaves , I look down at my ART-X15 pedalboard and I saw that she put her needle-shoes right in the middle of my display and crashed my footcontroller. All it did was blinking all leds at the same time .

Those were the worst 2 days of my gear

And Phoenix has a graph tech nut, she always breaks strings at around the 15th fret. Come to think of it, all of my guitars have GraphTech nuts and break strings somewhere in the upper fretting region Originally Posted by Hot _GritsBad run, Zerb.

Ouch. Ich my Jcm broke down, and my Hamp;K broke down, I´d be that much more grateful for V-twin and PAs, but if I lost both V-twins (sold one) and the Hamp;K, I´d be totally boned
