Hello everyone! I currently have a coil tap style switch that was installed as a kill switch, but after only mild use it has begun to get crackly. I was thinking about getting a standard 3-way toggle, but I feel like I need something stronger. I remember reading about some guitarists using quot;airplanequot; toggles for the same purpose. I need something that can take some serious abuse.
Anyway, I found this site: from : localhost/of these mini toggles can be used for guitar wiring? I only have one (non-tapped) humbucker in this guitar. I was considering the quot;T3 Miniaturequot;, the quot;T3 Miniature 1/4 Unealedquot;, and the quot;ultra miniaturequot;.
Which ones will work for this application? Thank you all in advance for your help!

welcome to the forum!!
ive never tried any of those switches so i can only guess, but i would assume any on/off switch will work. have you tried cleaning the old switch with contact cleaner? it works in many cases

Nah. I've had this guitar for less than a week! They should have used something more sturdy than a coil tap mini-switch, that's all.
Thanks for the help guys!
Well, I ended up finding the perfect switch at Radio Shack, of all places. For future reference, their quot;SPDT MINIATURE SWquot; #2750603, works great for this application!
