I was wondering if any you guys who have strats with a jb in the bridge could play something with gain and post it here. Something like with a Green day or punk sound to it. I need to here what it sounds like as I'am considering getting one on my strat.
i don't have any clips but i can tell you that a jb's really hit/miss in alder
jb has a lot of mids amp; not much of anything else, and alder is...kinda flat, but definately has a mid spike, so as you can imagine, you'd have tons of mids amp; that's about it
but there are some strats that are...bassier than others, i think the greenday guy played a fernandez amp; i'm not sure if they're made of alder, may be something to look at
