I was considering for my next guitar either getting a 7 string or another normal guitar.

I just wanted to know alot of the differences, and if it'd screw me up when i switched back to playing a 6 string?

The transition for me was really easy, it took me like a day to figure out how it went with the low b string added. After that I had the ultimate setup!, drop and standard! haha.

Anyway, the Ibanez hard-tail 7-string is a really easy guitar to play, the neck is quite a bit thinner than the one on my ESP but it makes it tons easier to play and it's not too thin, just right. It's thin compared to normal necks, but makes the wide 7-string neck feel like a normal neck to me instead of this friggin huge thing haha.

You could always try downtuning your current guitar or something and try out playing standard stuff on the strings below the quot;Equot; and see if you can deal with it.
