Well I took the plunge and bought the 59b. I am a bit lost on how to wire it. I am very comfortable with a soldering iron, but the schematic that came with the P/U loses me. The 59 is a single conductor, and the Jazz and JB that are currently installed are 4 conductors. How do I hook up the 59 in place of the JB???????? Installed the Current set up via the schematic on the SD website, easy as pie, but for some reason the schematic that came in the P/U box confuses me. Please advise!!!!! If anyone has the proper schematic of my current delima Please send it my way, or explain in detail. Thanks

Actually, your new 59 is a 2-conductor. Its just that the wire is co-axial - that is, the quot;hotquot; wire is inside the braided shield ground. You just need to roll back, or open up the shield enough to get to the center conductor. Then, connect the shield to whatever ground you want to use, and the hot wire to the switch.
Like what they're showing here, except that yours may not be dual-volume. If not, ignore that part. Its just to show how a co-axial connects.

Unfortunately, Duncan themselves, refer to this as quot;single-conductorquot;.
So pull the shielding back enough to ground to the back of the pot, and then hook up the hot wire. The guitar in question is a Les Paul. Can you soulder the shielding with the wire inside to the pot, or do you cut the shielding down one side, seperate, and then attach just the shielding to the pot and then the hot to the switch? Thanks Artie, sorry to be so green.

You can really do either. Just make sure none of the shieling comes in contact with the hot wire. BTW, congrats on the purchase!!!!
