I have a schecter A-1 that I'm refinishing/ rewiring for a school project, i sanded through the coat that some idiot sprayed over the stock coat, throught the stock coat, and now theres this clear, smooth sanding coat of stuff which is really hard to get through, what is it, can I sand through it, and where do i get good aerosol primer (been all over reranch.com looking for the answer, no such luck, for either question)
Could possibly be a sand and sealer. If the sand and sealer is perfectly level stop sanding. If you are shooting laquer you could have stopped after 200 dry sanding the stock Schecter finish (I'm assuming it's a poly finish). Even if it were laquer, laquer sprays over laquer just fine.
ReRanch sells their laquer based white primer in an aerosol can.
