I've had my Epi LP Custom for a few weeks now and everything has been working fine. Last night after playing for about ten minutes I notice that when I switch to the middle position on the toggle with both volumes up the sound is really flat, nasally, and low output. If I turn either of the volumes down a little from 10 the sound comes back to normal. This is my first dual volume guitar so I'm kind of confused. What part(s) of the wiring might be the culprit?
Thanks
is the sound a bit like a wah sound?
They may be out of phase
exactly .. dunno if it is stock, or if someone was in there messing with the pickup wiring .. either way, reverse either of the pups wires (hot and ground) and you should be good to go
let us know

Yes! Like a wah rolled back. I just installed a Custom in the bridge too the other day, and, now that I think of did, don't remember trying out the middle position.
Why would both pickups come back when turning the volumes down slightly though?
For example:
Both volumes at 10= thin wah sound
Both or either volumes at 9= both pickups on, regular fullness.
