Well I did change a few things, added slightly more bottom to it, changed all the caps to better ones, made the circuit assymetrical, and added a nice little 3mm blue led.
And a small clip just using my strat.
from : localhost/will mod it more later on, right now I will use it as it is on our new amps, just to see how it goes.

Heh plugged it into both the new amps and was duly underwhelmed
It fared even worse into the Hiwatt, only when I cranked the Hiwatt over the 4x12 G12H equipped cab something worth the while happend, so this thing will defently get more gain and will be made more open sounding.

I could share some TS thoughts with you? Did you do the quot;entirequot; mods to your TS10? The 10 involves more steps to get it right compared to a TS9 or even the TS5..

Also...I always prefer to stay symetrical on the diode gain stage and I stick with the silicon diodesquot;alwaysquot; on every TS I mod...Just on this series though.

Yep changed the whole lot, and removed the new stuff they added to it, I like assymetrical better than symmetrical and I did use IN448 diodes, they sound the most sweet in these setups to me
Also swapped all the caps to poly orangedrops and added a few new metalfilm ones, flipped out the tantalum ones and used poly's again, sounded much nicer, also got a IC-socket(Tulip one) just to flip between a few other OP-amps.
I'll probally change the input cap and one resistor, don't want to increase the gain by lowering the 4K7 resistor though at first, and I'll change the output cap back to normal again as well, because if it works with what I have in mind I won't need a big cap there anymore
But do feel free to add some if you like, it is always fun to see other sides of this

Sounds like you're doing fine already and you don't need my 2 cents brother! You should be teaching me a thing or two!

wah! now we got 2 pedal gurus.

Rid does this stuff for a living,I don't...It's a hobby for me.Rid is the guru, not me.

Thanks for the kind words, dunno you seem to be a way cool TS-expert in my eyes
Overdrives are quite similar so I just used one of my HDB's as a base, anyways those TS-style pedals are mighty fun to tweak

Hmmmm quot;expertquot; is a pretty big word and I can hardly even spell it?
The Tube Screamer was the pedal I learned on and the first great overdrive pedal I ever owned back in 82 or so when I bought my first TS9 for $45 dollars..

82 hehe man I was a mere 14 years old back then
Was about to get my first real guitar lessons back then
One of my dads old Engineer students who played guitar also had a TS-9 that he modded
Hehe already back then it was a pedal to tweak...

guys.. please.. ya'll are making me jealous!

I'm jealous of you cause I'm 20 years older than you are...

Well tried a few more things, it got abit more clearsounding, more air around the sound, a bit more drive as well.
Will have to test next week as I am out of town this weekend.
I let the pedal get some more input and lowered a few caps for more clarity, but I am out of resistors at home now, so I could not get the gain the way I wanted it too..lol
