ok, I think something very very bad just happened to my quick rod..

I was messin' around with an alesis midiverb in the loop...I was going from patch to patch...one patch apparently had the ****in' levels set WAYYY too high...

anyway, there was a loud noise and I noticed that a couple of the power tubes were running REALLY damn hot...they were ****in' bright as hell...

now when I play it, it's still loud, but it sounds very thin and harsh...

**** **** ****!!!

could it be that the power tubes are damaged??? did I blow something up?!?!?!?

I don't know what to do!!!

could it be a fuse?? when I turn it on now, they power tubes look as they should...

christ, I'm so upset right now

i dont know how that amp works, but i'm guessing its not a fuse, cause fuses normally shut the sound off completely/the amp wont even turn on

sounds like something that first came in contact with the extreme signal may have been damaged, maybe not the power section, if the amp is still as loud as it was.....but if it sounds bad, maybe a preamp tube or part of the preamp has been damaged, but not completely fried to the point where the signal is completely shut off

idk, just some speculation on my part

I emailed scott...I don't know what the hell to do...

this is totally my goddamned luck....I'm snakebit, I swear to god..

Sure it's not unhappy speakers?

I don't think so...I didn't really think of that, but I think it's definetly in the amp...

I have to turn it slightly higher on the master to get a sound out of it..so it goes from nothing to relatively loud...

yep, me too..hopefully it's JUST the power tubes..I mean, the thing's under warranty..but that's not the point..I waited over 6 weeks to get it and I haven't even had it for ten days yet...

I dread the possibility of having to box it back up and ship it off to scott and wait for it to get fixed if tubes don't solve the problem..
