This is basically for anyone who owns or has played a yamaha pac 112.

Im wanting to get myself another guitar on a fairly tight budget. What im looking for is playability, something that sets up well. Im also looking for something with a thinner neck, or an anti les paul type kneck if you will.

Those of you who have experience with the yamaha 112, what do you think of it? How well are the frets dressed? If i bought one will i need to fil down the frets so that i dont cut my hands to pieces while i play? What type of finish is the maple neck? Satin? unfinished? Ive played the 012's before but not the 112 and i wasnt impressed enough with the 012 enough to buy it, but that was a few years ago. Also, how does it compare to fender squires in the same price range? (such as this from : localhost/www.music123.com/Squier-Delux...-i127325.music)

Hey Man.

If you are looking for a thin neck - the pacifica is your guitar!
They have the thinnest necks I've ever played. I believe they're 4.0cm wide at the nut - in comparison to say a strat which is 4.3cm.

The necks are very nice on the 112. They're smooth - you won't cut yourself.
Here are some pictures of my pacifica tele. I don't think they make these anymore.I love mine. Neck is great. I played for 3 hours in sam ash looking for a fairly cheap priced guitar with a comfortable neck. I said I was going to buy the guitar with the best neck under 250. This was it and I got it for 130. Better than the squires or other lower prioced guitars I played. I had a JB waiting at home, put it in and it is my favorite guitar. The one I got is natural finished with a white pick guard. It is the same as the tele posted but a fat strat style

It's perfect.Feels great, try them out before you buy, obviously.

An upgrade in pickups might be needed though, the stock ones are its weak point.
