I saw a seriously decked out handmade acoustic today made by this dude?
they only wanted 4 grand for it!
Yeah they were beautiful high end acoustics made in the 70's can't remember the last name it was kind of long and started with a quot;Pquot;, might have been a Polish name?
I´ve heard of all sorts of Bozos, but never a guitar... closest known thing (to me) would be a Bouzouki
They were a very ornate, highly detailed acoustic manufacturer in the 70s. I've never seen one up close, but they looked incredible. The correct pronunciation is BO-zho. Four grand doesn't sound out of line for the amount of work that went into them.

wow they look incredible in those crappy pics i cant even imagine how it would look in person
I remember seeing pics of them in Tom Wheeler's book years ago. I think I still have that book in the basement...
With a name like that, you don't forget it.
Bozo was pretty well known in the 70's .. I'm not positive, but I think Leo Kottke was playing one of his 12 strings back then
and yes, they were usually pretty ornate guitars
he lived for a while in San Diego, and I can remember walking along a street one day and seeing his shop - I knew about him, but had no idea where his shop was
besides all the inlay, many of his older guitars were Brazilian rosewood, so that accounts for part of the price

You hit that one on the nose Curly. In the 70's Kottke played Bozo 12 strings almost exclusively.
Leo Kottke plays a Bozo. Or at least he did in the 70's. I'm pretty sure both his six and 12 strings are Bozos.
