Look at the album titled Iced Tea 05 R8...I have to say guys...these are crappy pics but I was in a hurry plus my picture taking skills suck!

I LOVE THIS GUITAR!!!

I have been shopping off and on for a while and called a shop this morning that I have been going to for years and asked if he had any KILLER LP's, went down and played about 10 or 11...landed on this one, and I couldn't be happier!

GAS is such a *****!!!

Nice! Can I have your Tele ;P

Haha, sweet collection man. That LP looks totally outrageous, too, you lucky mofo

Wow, she's purdy!

Congrats Bro! Glad ya finally found one that did it for ya! That's exactly the model I'm looking at, tho I'll go w/ washed cherry if possible.

A choice Les Paul is hard to beat....

Howdya like the BB 1 amp; 2?

The other LP that really did it for me was a washed Cherry...It's felt about was good as this one but was a tad heavier and to be honest...I don't like a CSB. So far the BB's are OK...I tried them once before (I had a LP on loan for a while that was stock) they were a 2 and a 3...like I said, their OK, but so far I am thinking I will pull them out in faver of Duncans...they are the best stock pickups Gibson has had in a long long time but IMO a good set of Duncans woudl still be better.

I can't get over how great this guitar feels...I have to be honest...all the Historics I played today were amazing guitars, most of the standards I played to day were so-so at best...These are truly amazing guitars.

SO............is this the quot;I know something you guys don'tquot; guitar????

Sweet Christian......very sweet!

How's that baby sound thru that Sound City?????

How's that baby sound thru that Sound City?????Well...this is NOT the forum brothers Custom's AXE...as for kicking it through the SC...my Girlfriend is sick so I have not cranked it yet...soon, very soon!

I'll overnight the Yellow Jackets to ya'....need an attenuator too???

I do need an attenuator...badly!

I think Im gonna snatch up a Weber Mass soon! And those Yellowjackets might be a good idea too!

They're yours...to borrow...if ya' wanna try them out

The MASS worked really well with my Hiwatt, so it's probably a good choice for that amp.

looks great ... R8s are happenin' ... I think if I looked for another LP, it would be an R8

one thing I'm a little picky about is that I like to see straight grain on the back, like yours

how's the weight?

nice ax ... I pulled out my R7 to show a friend today - I pulled off the knobs a while back because I was going to replace the pickups, but I haven't done that yet. I have a set of Seths, and I want to wire it 50's style, with CTS pots, etc.

I think that will be an improvement. Yes, the BBs are OK, but I don't really like the taper on Gibson's pots, and I'd bet money that the Seths will be perfect.

enjoy

Great pick, that guitar is exactly what I'd get if I had to pick any les paul.

Play her like you stole her.

Thanks guys!

gary-I really dig this beast so far...GT's are cool but for me a Gold Top is just not the way to go, and I thought of you this afternoon while picking mine out...I passed through the Gold Tops first, then culled out the 2 Washed Cherry bursts (I don't like the CSB) and was down to a few Iced Teas and a Tobacco or 2 as well as a Black RO, the Iced Tea I ended up with was the lightest (have not really weighted it in a good way yet, but she's at or less than 9lbs, and this one has perfectly straight grain on the back...lovein' it!!!

The BB's are ok, but nog much better, and I agree about the pots, they are good but the taper is funny. I think that Im gonna go with a set of Custom Shop PG's, new pots and then I'll be done. I have to admit...as unhappy as I am with most standard production Standards these Historics are kick ass guitars!

Great choice! I like Honeyburst and Teaburst better than almost any other SB finish.
Cherry SB always looks too red/yellow 70's to me too, although any LP is fine with me.
Don't get addicted to buying LP's!!!...it's an expensive habit!

Thanks Joe...Im not a fan of the CSB either but I do like the Iced Tea!

Truth is...I might already be addicted!!!

Nice axe! Goin' for the old top-wrap I see!

Thanks bro!

Im actually liking the over the top deal!

I just went back to normal stringing. I go back and forth.
