Okay i was thinking about it.

I dont like pretty guitars. Like Les pauls, PRS', etc etc... except Gretsch's.

But I do love Ugly guitars that I'm sure most people here would never even want to touch.

Okay So Post a Pic the Ugliest guitar that YOU own. Not your friend and not a guitar from ebay. It's one that you have or had but still have a pic or two that you could post.

well... I used to have one of these except mine was piss yellow. got it for 120 bucks off ebay, my first electric. The humbucker sounded like an overbright single coil, wouldn't stay in tune worth a damn either. Not quite sure what I was thinking... but it was cheap, and I'd heard good things about humbuckers

Truthfully, it didn't play that bad... no fretbuzz, the neck was actually kind of nice. The plywood body and everything else about it weren't. Didn't sound too bad once I put a Detonator in the neck either... my first pickup swap!

Wound up selling it to a friend with a Squier Strat who knew sh!t about guitars, but then again so did I.

Saw it about a year ago in the San Bernardino GC, amazingly. My friend probably got $60 for selling it. It was listed as a quot;modified collecter's itemquot; amazingly. $200.

I decided to pass. (though nostalgia can be a powerful thing sometimes...)

I don't own any ugly ones either.

Had an ESP Kamikazee in the neon green, red, yellow, and pink camoflage scheme. Ebony fretboard and the reverse bananna headstock. I didn't think it was ugly, I thought it was rad... However, most people had a different view. Only wish that guitar had a 24.75quot; scale length and played as well as my PRS's. In that case I'd still own it. Just can't bring myself to keep a guitar that I don't play.

i dont ownany ugly guitars either but i can tell you the ugliest ive seen it probbaly a opne of those bad strat copies, that arent really strats only that they share the similiar outline shape.

The ugliest guitar that I ever owned was 1 I wish I'd kept. An early 90's Gibson MIII Standard. Looked weird, played and sounded fantastic. Quest for a Strat saw it sold. Curses to G.A.S.!!!

Love one of those, seriously... but never got the chance to play one for some reason... Crazy... things would be different if Gibson kept in that direction... quot;Betterquot; might be up for grabs still, depending on one's point of view I liked em anyway

I was gutted when Gibson didn't continue with the MIII. There's not even reference to it on their website!!! I've been looking for 1 for 7 years since I sold mine. They're like rocking horse crap.

It's playability, sound and versitility were superb. Think of a PRS that has mated with an explorer, then hit with the ugly stick!

OBy, those MIII's are ugly!
Mine was black. 1 of the best strat tones I've heard on a set neck guitar. Not perfect but pretty close. As for the H/B's, they roared!

Some of my mates don't like the look of my bass (top one in natural) but I think it's cool...

Thats the first time I've found info on my 93' Milan IV :/ even the website only shows the 94 model (looks similar but is 22 fret glued in where mine is 24 fret bolt on)
Reading their forum it looks to be quite a rare axe :E

well I wld If it played like Iwant it to play and sounds like I want it to and feels like I wnat it to.

I own a black warlock with a widow headstock, metallic red Kramer explorer copy and a trans black dreadnought acoustic with cutaway. Im guessing people would think the warlock is ugly.

That Gibson MIII would look great when dressed in spandex

I daren't wear spandex 7 years ago when I owned my MIII, I'd be arrested if I wore it now. I look dodgy enuff wearing the stuff I've got on in mt avatar!!
