I know that modelers don't always sound good through guitar amps but they usually sound good through PA systems with full range speakers. How would an amp modeler sound through a keyboard amp? Isn't a keyboard amp essentially a PA/Poweramp with a speaker?
A good keyboard amp will sound like a clean PA, but a cheap one will still sound bad.
Could you reccomend me a decent one?
Peavey has some OK ones (small one's that i have played through) Roland has some large ones that work very nicely.
Other options are tube guitar power amps through speaker enclosures.
Yet more is the Atomic amp, all tube, supposed to be the real deal for getting real amp tones from POD, V-amp, Boss GT-x, etc.
That atomic amp is a great idea, but expensive for what it is...
i use 1 or 2 JBL EON powered speakers (depending on the size of the venue), both have a 15quot; and horn...sounds great!
Roland's keyboard amps, which they recommend for using with their V Drums, too, will work fine.
Thanks for the info so far guys. This may be the way to go with a modeler since keyboard amp aren't supposed to color the sound much. I like the powered speakers idea too.

I disagree, I think that the Atomic is pretty reasonably priced. Its a good, reliable, loud amp that will make your modeler sound better than pretty much anything else. Give it a try if you can, you wont be dissapointed.
