I CANNOT get any answers for my question. I have a standard fender style bass. there is a volume pot and a tone pot. I have a new bill lawrence p-46 pickup (not active). Can someone please tell me how i would be able to wire this split coil single coil pickup to a real switch so i can switch from series to parallel (like a fender american series S-1 switch but in a real mini-switch). I don't really want to use active electronics if i don't have to. This pickup has a hot lead, a ground lead, 2 wires (red and green) that i assume are used for different wiring schemes (there is one wire coming from each piece of the split coil itself). There are also 2 additional wires (2 blue ground wires). I do not want to change the pickup itself either. So someone please help me. (I would like a diagram and step by step instructions if possible).
I'd love to help, but I'm unfamiliar with BL and basses for that matter. someone will be along soon.

Can you post a photo of the p/up showing the wires?
You will also need a meter to determine the polarity of each coil.
My best guess is that the red and green wires represent the alternate coil terminals of each side of the pickup.
Why don't you e-mail Bill? There's a contact link on the website..
thank for your ideas, I have contacted Bill and I hope that soon he will give me the exact things i need but i would like to know more links for wiring diagram websites and other sites that may have useful information pertaining to the listed question. thanks everyone.
